David,

Mind you, I am certainly NOT complaining . . . but what got you started on this "hussar kick"?

Ah - the ghost of Brigadier Gerard came to me in my dreams and said that if I didn't do it, he'd haunt me horribly... ;-)

But I just like hussars anyway - and having spent so very long drawing the newish hussar template, I wanted to get as much mileage out of it as possible. And also, the more one draws hussars, the more one wishes to draw hussars - it's a well known artists' disease. :-) And drawing is itself a splendid distraction from the horrors of reality.

Sadly, I may have to do other things for a while now as there is much to do - "real life" is such a pain. But I'll be back as often and for as long as I can get away with.

Hope all's going well for you.

All the best,

David.

Oh yes - and I've been having a lot of trouble getting the cuirass right on the Cuirassiers Du Roi template I've been working on so the hussars were a welcome bit of light relief... ;-)

Thanks, Bill; I'm glad you like them - especially as I'm working on even more Austrian hussars, so that I can cover the whole gamut of variations in their uniforms. Coming soon - Regiments Kalnoky and Esterhazy! :-)
