Raised 4th January 1702 by the Marquis de Bandeville
Service:
Army of the Rhine
1703 Siege of Breisach; then in garrison there
1704 Army of Bavaria; battle of Blenheim. Susane says "Completely destroyed and the colonel killed" (Hall adds that there were 120 made prisoners).
And another unit where the uniform was completely grey!
Another nice flag David but the uniform is not the most colourful to say the least, easy to paint up though! Handy to know for anyone wanting to do Blenheim.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donnie! Yes, indeed, and at least the flag is reasonably striking; not as good as the previous three, though! :-)

A nice bright flag to contrast with a rather dull uniform, but an easy one to paint;)!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Steve. :-) On the long French flag haul, I have to take the good flags and uniforms with the not so good! ;-)

Boring uniform, but a luvvly flag, might not be as dishy as your recent French flags, but its still a cracker.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ray. Yes, they might have made the uniform just a bit mroe interesting! Glad you like the flag, though! :-)
