I did these as a favour a year or so ago and have been tinkering with them lately, improving them (well, I think so! ;-)). I thought I might as well post them in case anyone wants them; I have a few more SYW British colours I could and probably will also post (1st Guards, Royal Scots, 42nd Highlanders), just to show I have not lost interest in my "core period" despite spending so much time in the late 17th and early 18th centuries of late.
Rather than reinvent the wheel by writing a long text of my own here (which eats up valuable flag creation time!), I suggest that the Kronoskaf page on the 1st Guards is the best place to go for a detailed history of the regiment in this period:

Splendid flag set, David!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jon. :-) I rather like the British flags of the period; like the Prussian flags they have a common theme with variations. That makes them much simpler to create once the basic pattern is laid down!

Handy to have some SYW updates David, will have to look at re-flagging my troops!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donnie. Good to hear you will find these useful. :-) More British SYW flags to come!

Simple but beautiful:)!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Steve. Yes, the British flags of the period are pretty stylish and distinctive, I think. :-)

Very nice flags David, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWillz.
Thank you, Willz. It's good to be back in the SYW for a while. :-)
