French Hussar Guidon 1758


This is the design of a guidon captured by the Prussian 5th Hussars from the French Polleresky Hussars in 1758.

    The Spanish cavalry standards with the sun motif are in Stephen Manley's "Colours and Standards of the War of the Austrian Succession: Book IV Spanish Infantry and Cavalry 1739-1748", Potsdam Flags and Publications 1998, page 11, items 27-30.
