In case anyone wants to know, I've not updated this blog recently because I've not been well and have had very limited time and energy. What spare time and energy I have had I've devoted to the charity work I do; I'm the Newsletter Editor, website manager and also do other jobs for a cat rescue and rehoming charity here in Warwickshire.
Hopefully I'll be able to add more to this blog soon. I have been doing a little work on more French flags and uniforms but nothing is finished yet.

Those vile Stagonians will stop at nothing!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and don't worry about getting anything posted here until you're ready.
David,
ReplyDeletePlease take care of your health first.

Get well soon!
ReplyDelete-Rusti
Very sorry to hear you haven't been well. Take good care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your good wishes, folks. :-)
ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll be back in action soon. I'll keep you posted.
Cheers,
David.
Your first priority is your own health, so take it easy. I've only got mild withdraw symptoms so I can hold out until you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteAndy Mac
Take your time. Much as I enjoy and have used (a lot) of your work, your health is much more important than any blog.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Trevor
Thanks, Andy and Trevor. :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers,
David.
Sorry to read you have not been well.Full recovering is the priority, of course. And the templates are a "*hobby* associated to a *hobby*", so -how much we all appreciate them- rank last among your activities, even the 'spare time' ones!
ReplyDeleteActually I was suspecting a constraint from 'The Real World™' -as it's generally the case when one of us don't update his blog for long- and just hoped the matter was not too serious.
Best wishes,
Jean-Louis
Thanks, Jean-Louis.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
David.
It has come to the attention of Reich Duke Wilhelm von Beerstein that his Royal Purveyor of Flags and Standards, Sir David Linienblatt, has taken ill. As a result, all army units are to immediately return one Flag or Standard to the national armory and to assign addition Sergeant Majors to color details until Sir David is restored to complete health. Our entire community wishes you a speedy recover.
ReplyDeleteVery sincerely yours,
Bill Walker
Thanks, Bill. Appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know when you can re-issue those flags! :-)
All the best,
David.
Happy Sunday David,
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon and make a full recovery. Very interested to learn of your cat rescue work too.
Best Regards,
Stokes
Best wishes for a full recovery, David. I hope all goes well with your voluntary work too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stokes. Yes, of course, you're a cat person too! :-)
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
David.
Thanks, AJM. :-)
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
David.
David, I didn't realize you were a cat man too! I have three sons myself: Skipper, Commodore, and Captain Butler. Our boys were all rescues, so thanks for the special work you do.
ReplyDeleteBest regards,
Bill
Thanks, Bill. Yes, they're wonderful creatures - although inclined to mischievousness... ;-) Our 3 are girls. :-)
ReplyDeleteDo you have any pictures of yours you can post, perhaps on your blog? I'd like to see them.
All the best,
David.
I am a cat person, too. My long-haired orange cat, Killian, was also rescued froma shelter. Such an angel (when he's sleeping!). lol
ReplyDeleteMaybe the symbol for the Soweiter League should've been a golden lion... ;-)
Only when the muse demands that you produce shall you *have* to put out more.
ReplyDeleteThe body of werk here should stand on its own for now.
When your muse tells you, you will return.
Until then I am content to wait.
Thank you for the note about all your doings all the same.
Hi FB,
ReplyDeleteOh yes- golden lions sound splendid as a Soweiter League emblem. You really must do some flags with it! :-)
And your cat will be so impressed. ;-) Can we see a picture, please?
David.
Hi Murdock,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment; I am indeed waiting upon the muse (plus the quack!). ;-)
David.
...as the owner of two cats I know which takes precedence despite what I might think... :o))
ReplyDeleteHi Steve,
ReplyDeleteOh no - *dogs* have owners - cats have staff... ;-)
Thanks for the comment. :-)
David.
Get Well soon
ReplyDelete-- Allan
Thanks, Allan.
ReplyDeleteDavid.
as per your request a picture of the Lion of the West has been posted on the Soweiter League blog
ReplyDeleteThanks, FB; a splendid looking cat. Can we have another showing his face more clearly, please? :-)
ReplyDeleteI commented on your blog too.
David.
Sir David, I've posted some piture of my heirs on my site. Sorry it took so long, but my camera refused to coorperate. Best regards...Bill
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bill. Lovely cats. :-) I've commented on your blog too.
ReplyDeleteThanks again; I do so enjoy seeing pictures of people's cats. :-)
David.
