Being a uniform and flag design service to wargamers and to the imaginary crowned heads of 17th and 18th Century Europe, especially of the Seven Years War period - now By Appointment to the Court of Saxe-Bearstein! (But please note that the uniforms and flags presented here are not fictional - they are genuine 17th and 18th Century uniforms and flags that are as authentic as I can make them from my sources.)
David,
ReplyDeleteThank you for this template. One of my imagi-nations, the Margraviate of Carpania obtains some of its allied troops and artilelry from the Barony of Eisenmuhlen which I patterned after S-L-B. This artillery uniform fits exactly with the colors I was considering for the Eisenmuhlen artillery troops.
Jim
Hello Again David,
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I don't know. This uniform might be even prettier than the Bavarian one. And I used to think that most European countries dressed their artillerymen in variations of dark blue with red accents colors. Gosh, I'll have to have a battery wearing this uniform too.
Best Regards,
Stokes
Thanks, Jim. I'm glad it's proving useful! :-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't expect the artillery uniforms to be quite as popular as they are; but of course it's very pleasing that they are.
David.
Hi Stokes,
ReplyDelete:-) Yes, it's interesting to see how much variety there was - and much more appealing than simply red and blue!
I look forward to seeing yours and the other troops (like Jim's battery) inspired by these uniforms.
All the best,
David.
