A regiment of a single battalion and composed of a single contingent, this Paderborn unit was rated as "adequate" by Soubise.
The lace above the cuffs seems odd without buttons but the pictorial material I could find suggests that this was the arrangement (unless someone has other material to the contrary, which I would be grateful to know about!).
Sir David,
ReplyDeleteSuccess is a beautiful thing! I really love the second flag with the pensioner in the center. Now I have to break out the brushes and finish these guys. I have been busy painting my Foreign Legion Brigade and may put the pensioners in it to stiffen up the allies. Thanks again and I hope all is well with you...Bill
Love the new templates. I've not had much chance to visit your blog for a while, but every time I do I'm generously rewarded. Keep up the superb work.
ReplyDeleteSteve.
(P.S. Any chance of one or two General officer's uniforms from the armies of the main 7YW protagonists? - Austria, Hesse, France etc.)
Thanks for the message, Bill. Have replied via email.

Thanks, Steve. I just keep on going with it - a bit like the Energiser bunny, really. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI did make a start at drafting some generals' uniforms a while ago but couldn't get on with them - they simply didn't look right. I'll have another look at them and see if it's possible to restart and improve them.
