Being a uniform and flag design service to wargamers and to the imaginary crowned heads of 17th and 18th Century Europe, especially of the Seven Years War period - now By Appointment to the Court of Saxe-Bearstein! (But please note that the uniforms and flags presented here are not fictional - they are genuine 17th and 18th Century uniforms and flags that are as authentic as I can make them from my sources.)
David, how great & 'improved' the new hussar template may be, please do not delete the 1st one: it amply proved how useful it was, and still is! Besides, it offers a mirliton...
For the 'new' one, I know it corresponds to a specific historical regiment, but do the fur and boots really have to be black on the template itself? It would restrict its usefulness...
I have no intention of removing the old hussar! I am going to do a version of the new hussar with mirliton, as the majority of the Prussian regiments wore it.
The black boots and fur are only there because they happen to be part of the initial drawing process; the Prussian Regiment No.2 actually had white fur on the pelisse.
Saturday 6th June 2020 I've decided to allow comments from Anonymous Users but I'll still be moderating posts, as I'm sure the spam will probably flood in now! We'll see...
Remember . . . any jest at the expense of those vile Stagonians is a good jest.

Hi Jeff,
ReplyDeleteOh yes - I think we all realise that... ;-) (For some reason that reminds me of the film of the Germans goosestepping backwards and forwards...)
All the best,
David.
