Colours British 1st Foot Guards in the Seven Years War

This is another set of British Seven Years War colours I created back in 2024 as a favour. As with the previous set, I have been tinkering with them lately, improving them (well, I think so! ;-)).

Again, rather than reinvent the wheel by writing a long text of my own here (which eats up valuable flag creation time!), I suggest that the Kronoskaf page on the 1stFoot Guards is the best place to go for a detailed history of the regiment in this period:

Colours British 2nd or Coldstream Foot Guards in the Seven Years War

I did these as a favour a year or so ago and have been tinkering with them lately, improving them (well, I think so! ;-)). I thought I might as well post them in case anyone wants them; I have a few more SYW British colours I could and probably will also post (1st Guards, Royal Scots, 42nd Highlanders), just to show I have not lost interest in my "core period" despite spending so much time in the late 17th and early 18th centuries of late.

Rather than reinvent the wheel by writing a long text of my own here (which eats up valuable flag creation time!), I suggest that the Kronoskaf page on the 2nd Foot Guards is the best place to go for a detailed history of the regiment in this period:

Guidon as depicted in the Triomphes Louis XIV:

Service [extracted from Hall, Stanford and Roumegoux]:
1690 Battle of Fleurus; Strength 534 officers and men; 124 killed and missing in action, 20 wounded in action, 98 prisoners of war

And these were probably the uniforms in 1689 and 1696 as described and depicted in Hall, Stanford and Roumegoux (by 1718 the uniform was red again but whether or not this was true as early as the WSS we do not know):
